A regular verb is one that follows the pattern of taking -ed for the past simple and past participle
NOTE:
1.Some verbs can be both regular and irregular

2.Some verbs change their meaning depending on whether they are regular or irregular.

(to kill or die, by dropping with a rope around the neck)

(to fix something at the top so that the lower part is free)

3. The present tense of some regular verbs is the same as the past tense of some irregular verbs.

Conjugation of English Regular Verbs
1. Verbs ending in a long vowel or diphthong followed by aconsonant (paint, claim, devour, play…)
or
ending in a consonant cluster (delight, or clamp)
・Add "ed" to the infinitive form to create the past and past participle,
・Add "ing" to create the present participle.
・Add "s" to create the 3rd person present.
2.Verbs ending in a short vowel followed by a consonant. (chat,chop, compel.…)
・Double the final consonant and add "ed" to the infinitive form to create the past andpast participle.
・Double the final consonant and add "ing" to create the present participle.
・Add "s" to create the 3rd person present.
3. Verbs ending in a consonant followed by "e" .(dance, save,devote, evolve…)
・Add "d" to the infinitive form to create the past and past participle.
・Replace the final "e" with "ing" to create the present participle.
・Add "s" to create the 3rd person present.
4.Verbs ending in sibilants. (kiss, bless, box, polish, preach…)
・Add "ed" to the infinitive form to create the past and past participle.
・Add "ing" to create the present participle.
・Add "es" to create the 3rd person present.
5.Verbs ending in a consonant followed by "y" . (comply, copy, magnify…)
